Vintage in Tokyo

Saturday, March 13th, 2010

Recently I headed to Japan for a holiday with my love Benjamin.

So, naturally whilst in Tokyo I thought I’d see if  I could find some vintage. Unfortunately I didn’t find anything for the shop but plenty pour moi! Here are my tips for you if you’re heading that way…

Harajuku, Tokyo. Awesome place. Great for the shopper! I had heard of two main shops here. Finding them seemed to be determind by what tube stop you get off at but ask any of the locals. They’ll fall over trying to help you out! Spend the day at Harajuku. There really is that much to see and eat and do!

There are two massive ones right on top of each other. One called Kinji and the other called Hanjiro. Kinji is at basement level and Hanjiro on the first floor.

Hanjiro

I also dragged my Ben out to a place called Shimo-kitazawa which is a University student area with vintage shops a plenty!

Thursday, November 26th, 2009

They have arrived! They’re so sweet and so fun! I found these fabulous pieces at the Rose Street Markets in Melbourne during my last sejour (which we affectionatly named Frocktober as we hunted for frocks, drank Pimms on rooftops and danced down alleyways). They’re been recreated by an awesome artist, Mr Greg Mann. We’re currently stocking an array of pendants, earrings and rings! RRP $55 each

Those of you lucky enough to live in Melbs you can head to Rose Street in Fitzroy every Saturday and Sunday 11am to 5pm. Those of you who aren’t as close can peruse the fabulous array of wares online here  The Rose Street Markets
